What is Apache Hive?

Apache Hive is a data warehouse tool built on top of Hadoop, used for querying and analyzing large datasets. It provides a query language similar to SQL called HiveQL, which can translate queries into MapReduce tasks to run on a Hadoop cluster. Apache Hive allows users to easily perform data queries, aggregation, filtering, and analysis on a Hadoop cluster in order to better understand and utilize the data.
