How to restore the system in Ubuntu?
To restore the Ubuntu system, you can try the following methods:
- Back up: If you have previously created a system back up, you can use it to restore the system. Select to restore using the back up at startup.
- Reinstalling the system: If you do not have a backup, you can reinstall the Ubuntu system. You will need to use Ubuntu installation media (CD or USB drive) to boot the computer and follow the steps in the installation wizard. During the installation process, select the “reinstall” option instead of the “install” option. This will format the system partition and reinstall the Ubuntu system.
- Use the system recovery feature: Ubuntu has a recovery feature that can help you restore the system. When starting your computer, press the Shift key (sometimes it may also be the Esc key) to enter the boot menu. Choose “Advanced options” and then select “Recovery mode”. In the recovery menu, select either “Repair broken packages” or “Restore to previous version” option.
Before restoring the system, please make sure to back up important files and data. Restoring the system will delete all saved data.
