How to reset network settings in OpenWRT?
To restore the network settings of OpenWrt, you can follow these steps:
- Connect the computer to the LAN port of the OpenWrt device using an Ethernet cable (usually labeled with the number “1” or “LAN”).
- Open the computer’s network settings and set the IP address to a static IP address, for example 192.168.1.2, and set the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0.
- Open your browser and enter “192.168.1.1” (or the default IP address of your OpenWrt device) to access the management interface of OpenWrt.
- In the management interface, enter your username and password to log into the router. If you haven’t changed the default settings, the default username is “root” and the password is empty.
- After logging in, locate the “Network” option in the navigation menu and then choose “Interfaces”.
- Select the interface from the interface list that you want to reset network settings for, such as “LAN” (Local Area Network).
- In the interface settings page, locate the “IPv4 address” field and set it to the default value, typically “192.168.1.1”. Then click the “Save & Apply” button.
- Wait for a while until the settings take effect and restart the router.
After restoring the network settings, you can access the management interface of OpenWrt by entering “192.168.1.1” in your browser and logging in with the default username and password. Then, you can proceed to reconfigure the network settings as needed.
