How to record screen on Windows 10 ?

Windows 10 comes with a built-in screen recording tool that makes it easy to capture onscreen activities. Here are the steps to record your screen using Windows 10’s built-in recording tool:

  1. Open “Settings”: You can open the “Settings” window by clicking on the “Start” menu and then clicking on the “Settings” icon.
  2. Open the “Gaming bar” settings: In the “Settings” window, click on the “Gaming” option.
  3. Activate the game bar: In the “Gaming” option, make sure the “Game Bar” switch is turned on.
  4. Open the screen recording tool: Press the Win + G key combination to open the “Game Bar”. If the system prompts you to open the Game Bar, click the “Yes” button.
  5. To start recording, click on the “Record” button (circular red dot) in the game menu. You can also change recording settings, such as capturing screen and audio, by selecting the “Settings” button.
  6. To end recording: During the recording process, you can click the stop button (red square) in the game bar to stop recording. Alternatively, you can press the Win + Alt + R key combination to stop recording.
  7. After recording, the recorded files will automatically be saved in the “Videos” folder of your computer, where you can find and view them.

Please note that the built-in screen recording tool can only record full-screen activities and cannot select specific windows or areas for recording. If you need more advanced functionality, consider using third-party screen recording software.
