To set up FileZilla Server’s passive mode, follow these steps:

  1. Open the FileZilla Server management interface and log in.
  2. Select “Passive Mode Settings” on the left navigation bar.
  3. Make sure to check the box for “Use custom port range” under “Passive mode settings.”
  4. Please enter the range of ports you wish to use for passive mode. Typically, any port between 1024 and 65535 can be selected. Make sure these ports are open on your firewall.
  5. Please enter your public IP address in the “Server External IP Address” field. If your server is in a private network, please enter your router’s public IP address.
  6. Click on “Apply” to save the settings.
  7. In the FileZilla client, connect to your FileZilla Server and choose “passive mode” in the settings.
  8. Enter the public IP address of your server and the custom port range you set in step 4.

You have now successfully configured FileZilla Server’s passive mode. You can now start using FTP services for file transfers.
