If the telnet service is running, it will display output similar to the following:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"post-pre\"><code>tcp        0      0 0.0.0.0:23        0.0.0.0:*        LISTEN\r\n<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>This indicates that the telnet service is listening on port 23 and is in a running state.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that telnet service may not be installed by default in the latest Linux distributions due to security risks.
