In a Linux system, you can use the smartmontools tool to check the health status of your disk. Here are the steps to check your disk’s health status using smartmontools.<\/p>\n

  1. First, make sure that the smartmontools tool is installed on your Linux system. In most Linux distributions, you can install smartmontools using the following command:<\/li>\n
  2. Please install the smartmontools package using the apt-get command with superuser privileges.<\/li>\n
  3. After the installation is complete, you can use the following command to check the health status of all available disks:<\/li>\n
  4. Run the command “sudo smartctl –scan”<\/li>\n
  5. This command will display the device names of all available disks, such as \/dev\/sda, \/dev\/sdb, and so on.<\/li>\n
  6. Use the following command to view the health status of the specified disk, replacing \/dev\/sda with the name of the disk device you want to check.<\/li>\n
  7. Please run ‘sudo smartctl -H \/dev\/sda’.<\/li>\n
  8. This command will display the health status of the disk. If the status is “PASSED,” it means the disk is healthy, otherwise there may be an issue.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
