  1. Open the command prompt window and enter the following command to log in as the sys user in the Oracle database:<\/li>\n
  2. Log in to SQLPlus as the system administrator.<\/li>\n
  3. Set up a directory for storing exported table structure files, for example:<\/li>\n
  4. Establish a directory named export_dir at ‘C:\\export’.<\/li>\n
  5. Log out of the sys user, and log in to the Oracle database as a regular user.<\/li>\n
  6. Export table structure using the expdp command, for example:<\/li>\n
  7. Export metadata only from the tables using the expdp utility with the specified username and password, export directory, and dump file name.<\/li>\n
