Packstack is a tool used for quickly deploying OpenStack. The following are the general steps for deploying OpenStack using Packstack.<\/p>\n

  1. Install CentOS or RHEL operating system and make sure network settings are correct.<\/li>\n
  2. Install Packstack on the system (you can use the yum command to install).<\/li>\n
  3. Create an answer file that contains configuration information about the OpenStack deployment. You can start with the example answer file provided by Packstack and make modifications as needed.<\/li>\n
  4. Packstack command followed by specifying the answer file with the flag –answer-file.<\/li>\n
  5. Packstack automates the deployment of OpenStack. This process may take some time depending on the performance of your computer and network speed.<\/li>\n
  6. Once the deployment is complete, you can use the OpenStack Dashboard (Horizon) to log in and manage your OpenStack environment.<\/li>\n
