The method for setting up a Socks proxy on Windows 10\/11 is as follows:<\/p>\n

  1. Open the “Settings” app by clicking on the “Start” menu and selecting the “Settings” icon, or by using the shortcut Win + I.<\/li>\n
  2. Click on the “Network and Internet” option in the “Settings” window.<\/li>\n
  3. Select the “Proxy” option from the left menu in the “Network and Internet” window.<\/li>\n
  4. Under the “Proxy” tab, locate the section for “Manually configure proxy server”.<\/li>\n
  5. Turn on the Socks proxy, locate the “Use proxy server” switch, and toggle it to the on position.<\/li>\n
  6. Enter the IP address or host name of the Socks proxy server in the “Server” field.<\/li>\n
  7. Enter the port number of the Socks proxy server in the “Port” field.<\/li>\n
  8. Optional Step: If the Socks proxy server requires a username and password for authentication, input the corresponding information in the “Username” and “Password” fields.<\/li>\n
  9. Make sure the option “Do not use a proxy server for local (intranet) addresses” is enabled. This will ensure that connections to local networks do not go through a proxy server.<\/li>\n
  10. Close the “Settings” window.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
