If the Oracle database installation fails and you want to clean up the already installed content, you can follow these steps:<\/p>\n

  1. Stop all services related to Oracle by opening the Services Manager using the command services.msc, locating Oracle-related services such as OracleServiceSID and OracleTNSListener, and then stopping these services.<\/li>\n
  2. Remove the Oracle installation directory: Locate the Oracle installation directory on the computer, usually located at C:\\app\\Oracle or C:\\Oracle, and delete this directory and all its subdirectories.<\/li>\n
  3. To delete Oracle registry entries: Run the command prompt as an administrator, type regedit to open the registry editor. Navigate to the following path and delete all Oracle registry entries.<\/li>\n
  4. The Oracle software in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE directory.<\/li>\n
  5. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\EventLog\\Application\\Oracle.* – this is a Windows registry path that contains information related to the Oracle application within the Event Log section.<\/li>\n
  6. Delete environment variables: Open the computer’s environment variable settings and remove any environment variables related to Oracle, such as ORACLE_HOME, ORACLE_SID, TNS_ADMIN, from either the system variables or user variables.<\/li>\n
  7. Delete the network configuration files: Remove the listener.ora and tnsnames.ora files from the directory C:\\app\\Oracle\\product\\12.2.0\\dbhome_1\\NETWORK\\ADMIN.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
