To open MySQL in the command prompt, you must first install MySQL and ensure that the installation directory has been added to the system’s path.<\/p>\n

The steps to open MySQL in cmd are as follows:<\/p>\n

  1. Open the command prompt (cmd).<\/li>\n
  2. Enter the following command to enter the MySQL installation directory (assuming MySQL is installed on the C drive):<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    cd C:\\Program Files\\MySQL\\MySQL Server x.x\\bin\r\n<\/code><\/pre>\n
    x.x refers to the version number of MySQL that you have installed.<\/p>\n

    1. Enter the following command to start the MySQL client:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      mysql -u \u7528\u6237\u540d -p\r\n<\/code><\/pre>\n
      Please replace “username” with your MySQL username and press Enter.<\/p>\n

      1. Enter the MySQL password and press Enter. If your MySQL user does not have a password set, simply press Enter.<\/li>\n
