There are several ways to set a program to start automatically on boot in Linux.<\/p>\n

  1. To use the rc.local file: open the rc.local file by entering the command sudo nano \/etc\/rc.local in the terminal. Add the command to start the program before the exit 0 line in the file. Save and exit.<\/li>\n
  2. Using init.d script: Create a startup script file in the \/etc\/init.d\/ directory, for example named myscript. Add the command for starting the program in the script and set the execution permissions. Then use the following command to add the script to the system services:<\/li>\n
  3. Grant executable permission to myscript in the \/etc\/init.d directory and set it to run automatically at startup.<\/li>\n
