The RPAD function in an Oracle database<\/a> is used to pad a string with a specified character on the right side, in order to reach a specified length. The parameters for the RPAD function are as follows:<\/p>\n

  1. string: the string to be filled. This parameter is required.<\/li>\n
  2. The length parameter specifies the final length of the string that will be returned. If the original string is already at or exceeds this length, no padding will be done.<\/li>\n
  3. fill_string: the character or substring used for filling. If this parameter is not provided, spaces will be used for filling.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In summary, the RPAD function has three parameters.<\/p>\n

    2. the final length of the returned string<\/li>\n
