If we want to group by customer_id and calculate the number of orders for each customer, we can use the following SQL query:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"post-pre\"><code>SELECT customer_id, COUNT(*) as order_count\r\nFROM orders\r\nGROUP BY customer_id;\r\n<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>The above query will return a result set with two columns: customer_id and order_count. Each row represents a different customer, with order_count indicating the number of orders for that customer.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that the COUNT(*) function is used to calculate the number of records in each group.
