{"id":18336,"date":"2024-03-15T16:43:32","date_gmt":"2024-03-15T16:43:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.silicloud.com\/blog\/how-to-use-c-language-identifiers\/"},"modified":"2024-03-21T13:03:55","modified_gmt":"2024-03-21T13:03:55","slug":"how-to-use-c-language-identifiers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.silicloud.com\/blog\/how-to-use-c-language-identifiers\/","title":{"rendered":"How to use C language identifiers?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The naming rules for identifiers in the C language are used to name variables, functions, arrays, etc.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>It can only consist of letters (both upper and lower case), numbers, and underscores.<\/li>\n<li>The first character must be a letter or underscore.<\/li>\n<li>Identifiers are case-sensitive, for example, &#8220;abc&#8221; and &#8220;ABC&#8221; are different identifiers.<\/li>\n<li>You cannot use keywords in C language as identifiers, such as &#8220;int&#8221;, &#8220;for&#8221;, etc.<\/li>\n<li>There is no limit on the length of identifiers, but it is generally recommended not to exceed 32 characters.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Here are some examples:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Valid identifiers: num, count, student_name, avg_score, _total, isPassed<\/li>\n<li>Invalid identifiers: 4num (starting with a number), for (keyword), studentName (containing illegal character &#8220;-&#8220;)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>When using identifiers, the following standards should be followed:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Identifiers should be descriptive and clearly reflect the meaning they represent.<\/li>\n<li>Choose between using camelCase or snake_case to name identifiers.
