What are the steps to install SourceTree?
The steps for installing Sourcetree are as follows:
- Please visit the official Sourcetree website at https://www.sourcetreeapp.com/.
- Click the “free download” button on the webpage.
- Please select the appropriate version (Windows or Mac) for your operating system and click the download button.
- After the download is complete, double-click on the installation program to begin the installation.
- Read and accept the license agreement in the installation wizard.
- Choose the components you want to install (defaults are usually recommended).
- Choose the installation location and click on the “Install” button.
- Please wait for the installation program to complete installing Sourcetree.
- After installation is complete, click the “Finish” button to exit the installation wizard.
- You can now find and open Sourcetree in the Start menu (Windows) or Applications folder (Mac).
After installation is complete, you can open Sourcetree and follow the prompts to set up your Git repository in order to start using Sourcetree for version control operations.
