How to take a screenshot on a Windows system?
In Windows operating system, you can take screenshots using the following methods:
- Capture the entire screen: Press the Print Screen (PrtScn) key on your keyboard to copy a screenshot of the entire screen to the clipboard. Then open Microsoft Paint or another image editing software, and press Ctrl+V to paste the screenshot into a new image.
- To take a screenshot of the current window, press Alt+Print Screen (Alt+PrtScn) to copy the screenshot to the clipboard. Then open Paint or another image editing software, and press Ctrl+V to paste the screenshot onto a new image.
- To take a screenshot, press Win+Shift+S, which will dim the screen and display a crosshair cursor. Hold down the left mouse button and drag to select the area you want to capture, then release the mouse button. The selected area will be copied to the clipboard. Open Paint or other image editing software, and press Ctrl+V to paste the screenshot into a new image.
Additionally, the Windows 10 system offers a “Snip and Sketch” tool that can be searched and opened from the “Start” menu, allowing users to take screenshots and annotate them.
