How to set the time for saving the history records of an idea?

In IDEA, the history record retention time can be customized. You can follow these steps to do so:

1. Open IDEA and click on the “File” option in the top menu bar.
2. Select the “Settings” option, then choose “Appearance & Behavior” in the pop-up window.
3. Choose “System Settings” from the navigation bar on the left.
4. Locate the “History” option in the window on the right side.
5. “Local History retention period”：Here you can adjust the number of days that you want to keep your local history records. The default is 5 days, but you can increase or decrease this number based on your preference.
6. You can adjust the maximum number of files saved in the Local History here. The default value is 1000 files, but you can modify it according to your preferences.
7. After setting is complete, click on the “Apply” button and then close the window.
