How to partition the Win11 system?
Partitioning in Windows 11 can be done by following these steps:
- Open the “Control Panel”, click on “System and Security”, and then click on “Create and format hard disk partitions”.
- In the Disk Management interface, you can see all the disk and partition information. Choose a disk, right-click on it, and then select “Shrink Volume” or “Partition Volume”.
- In the pop-up window, enter the size you want to allocate to the new partition. Keep in mind that this size is in megabytes (MB).
- By clicking the “Shrink” button, the system will allocate unused space on the disk to the new partition.
- Right-click on the new partition and select “Create Simple Volume.”
- In the new create simple volume wizard, click “Next”.
- Choose a drive number, then click “Next”.
- Choose “NTFS” in the file system type.
- Type in a name for the new partition in the label.
- Click on the “Finish” button, and the system will begin creating a new partition.
After completing the steps above, your Windows 11 system will have a new partition. You can repeat the steps to create more partitions.
