Installing Ubuntu involves several steps:

  1. Download the installation image file for Ubuntu. You can download the latest stable version or other versions of Ubuntu image files on the official website of Ubuntu (https://ubuntu.com/). Make sure to choose the image file that corresponds to your computer’s hardware architecture.
  2. Create installation media for Ubuntu. You can use a USB flash drive or a DVD to create installation media for Ubuntu. If you choose to use a USB flash drive, you can use a tool (such as Rufus) to write the Ubuntu image file to the flash drive. If you choose to use a DVD, you can use a burning software (such as ImgBurn) to burn the Ubuntu image file to the DVD.
  3. Start the computer and boot from the Ubuntu installation media. Insert the Ubuntu installation media into the computer and restart. Follow the on-screen prompts during the boot process to access the BIOS settings or boot menu, and choose to boot from the installation media.
  4. Begin the installation of Ubuntu. Once successfully booting from the installation media, you will enter the Ubuntu installation interface. In this interface, you can choose to install Ubuntu or try Ubuntu without installing it directly. If you choose to install Ubuntu, you will need to follow the instructions of the installation wizard, including selecting language, keyboard layout, disk partitioning, etc.
  5. Installation complete. Once you have completed all the steps in the installation wizard, the Ubuntu installation program will begin copying system files to your computer. Once this process is complete, you will be prompted to restart your computer.
  6. Set up Ubuntu. After restarting your computer, you will be taken to the welcome screen of Ubuntu. On this screen, you can create your username and password, and choose some other system settings, such as updates and software installation.
