How to install QQ on Ubuntu system?
In Ubuntu system, we cannot install the official QQ client directly because there is no official support provided by QQ for Linux. However, we can use some third-party tools to chat on QQ in Ubuntu.
The following are two commonly used methods:
- Installing QQ with Wine: Wine is a compatibility layer that allows Windows applications to run on Linux systems. Follow these steps to install QQ:
- Run the command “sudo apt-get install wine” in the terminal to install Wine.
- Download the installation program (.exe file) for QQ for Windows.
- Navigate to the directory where the downloaded file is located in the terminal and run the following command: wine qq_install.exe.
- Follow the installation instructions provided by the installer.
- You can access Web QQ, the web version of QQ, on your Ubuntu browser. Just follow these steps to use Web QQ.
- Open your browser and visit the official QQ website at https://im.qq.com.
- Log in to your QQ account on the website.
- You can use QQ’s chat function directly on the website.
Please note that these methods may not work in all cases as they are unofficial solutions. Additionally, you may consider using other instant messaging tools similar to QQ, such as WeChat, Telegram, which offer official Linux versions.
