To completely delete the Matlab registry, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Open the “Run” dialogue box: Press the Win + R keys to open the Run dialogue box.
  2. Enter “regedit” and click “OK”: type “regedit” in the Run dialog box, then click the “OK” button to open the registry editor.
  3. Navigate to the Matlab registry entry: In the Registry Editor, expand the following path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MathWorks\Matlab. Note: If you are using a 64-bit operating system, you will also need to search for the same registry entry under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE path.
  4. To delete a Matlab registry entry: Select the “Matlab” folder, right-click and choose “Delete”. Confirm the deletion.
