Check SSH Status Ubuntu: Quick Guide

To check the SSH status, you can use the following command:

service ssh status

This will display the current status of the SSH service, including whether it is running and the port number it is running on. If the SSH service is running, you will see something similar to the following:

● ssh.service - OpenBSD Secure Shell server
Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/ssh.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled)
Active: active (running) since Tue 2021-09-14 15:00:00 CEST; 1h ago

You will receive a prompt message if the SSH service is not running.
