How to change the default port in OpenWRT?
To change the default port of OpenWrt, you can follow these steps:
- Access the router’s management page by typing “192.168.1.1” into the browser to open the OpenWrt web interface.
- To log in to the router management interface, enter the username and password. If you have not changed the default login credentials, the username is “root” and the password is empty.
- Locate and click on the “Network” option in the management interface.
- Select the “Firewall” tab in the network settings page.
- Locate the section on “Open ports on router” under the “Input” area in the firewall settings page.
- In the “Open ports on router” section, locate the port you want to modify and edit it.
- When setting up the editing port, you can change the port number and choose the protocol (TCP, UDP, or TCP+UDP).
- After changing the port, click on the “Save & Apply” button to save the changes.
After completing the above steps, the default port of OpenWrt will be changed to the port number you have selected. Make sure to choose a secure and not easily guessed port number when making the change to ensure the security of the router.
