How to change the default port in OpenWRT?

To change the default port of OpenWrt, you can follow these steps:

  1. Access the router’s management page by typing “192.168.1.1” into the browser to open the OpenWrt web interface.
  2. To log in to the router management interface, enter the username and password. If you have not changed the default login credentials, the username is “root” and the password is empty.
  3. Locate and click on the “Network” option in the management interface.
  4. Select the “Firewall” tab in the network settings page.
  5. Locate the section on “Open ports on router” under the “Input” area in the firewall settings page.
  6. In the “Open ports on router” section, locate the port you want to modify and edit it.
  7. When setting up the editing port, you can change the port number and choose the protocol (TCP, UDP, or TCP+UDP).
  8. After changing the port, click on the “Save & Apply” button to save the changes.

After completing the above steps, the default port of OpenWrt will be changed to the port number you have selected. Make sure to choose a secure and not easily guessed port number when making the change to ensure the security of the router.
