How to boot Ubuntu using a disc?
If you want to boot the Ubuntu system using a CD, you can follow these steps:
1. Download the Ubuntu image file: First, you need to download the Ubuntu ISO image file from the official Ubuntu website. You can find the latest version of Ubuntu at https://ubuntu.com/download.
Burn the ISO image to a CD: Use burning software, such as ImgBurn or Nero, to burn the downloaded ISO image file onto a blank CD. Make sure to select the option to write the ISO file to the CD.
To set the boot order: insert the newly burned disc into the computer’s optical drive, then restart the computer. During the reboot process, you will need to enter the computer’s BIOS settings interface. In most computers, you can press F2, Delete, or F12 keys to enter the BIOS settings interface. In the BIOS settings interface, locate the “Boot Order” option and set the optical drive as the first boot device.
Save and exit BIOS settings: After setting the boot order, save your settings and exit the BIOS settings interface. In most BIOS settings, you can save and exit by pressing the F10 key.
5. Start the computer: The computer will restart and load the Ubuntu system from the disc. Wait a moment, and you will see the Ubuntu startup screen.
Before using the CD to boot Ubuntu, make sure your computer supports booting from a CD and that the ISO image file on the CD has been properly burned.
