How do you capture a long screenshot on Windows?
There are two methods in Windows system to capture a long screenshot.
Option One: Utilize a screenshot tool.
- Open the page or window where the screenshot is needed.
- Press the Print Screen (or PrtScn) key on the keyboard, which is typically located in the top right corner of the keyboard.
- Open the drawing tool (you can search for “paint” in the start menu).
- In the drawing tool, click on “Edit” and select “Paste”, or simply press the Ctrl+V key combination on the keyboard to paste the screenshot into the drawing tool.
- In the drawing tool, use the selection tool (rectangular select tool or free select tool) to choose a portion of the screenshot, then click “cut”.
- Click on “file” and choose “new”, then select “from clipboard”.
- In the newly created drawing window, click on “File” and select “Save As”, choose the file format and location for saving, then click “Save”.
Option 2: Utilizing a scrolling screenshot tool.
- Download and install a scrolling screenshot tool, such as Snagit or PicPick.
- Open the scrolling screenshot tool.
- Select “scrolling screenshot” or a similar option in the tool.
- Open the page or window where the screenshot is needed and follow the instructions provided by the tool.
- After completing the scrolling screenshot, choose the file format and location to save it, then click on “Save”.
No matter which method you use, the captured long image can be saved as a picture file, making it convenient to use or share in other applications.
