Ubuntu DHCP Setup: Auto Network Configuration
To automatically obtain network settings on Ubuntu, follow these steps:
- Open the system settings and click on the “Network” option.
- In the network settings, choose the type of network connection to connect to (wired or wireless).
- Click on the gear icon in the top right corner, and select “Edit Link”.
- In the connection editing window, select the connection for which you want to automatically obtain an IP address and click “Edit”.
- Choose “Automatic” (DHCP) as the method in the IPv4 settings tab.
- After confirming the settings, click “Save” and close the connection editing window.
- After connecting to the network, the system will automatically obtain the IP address and other network settings information.
