Create a VMware virtual machine and install Windows 10 on it.
To create a VMware virtual machine and install Windows 10 in it, you can follow these steps:
- Download and install VMware virtual machine software. You can download the latest version for your operating system on the official VMware website.
- Open VMware virtual machine software and then click on “Create a new virtual machine”.
- In the “Create New Virtual Machine” wizard, select the “Typical (recommended)” option, and then click “Next”.
- On the “Install Operating System” page, choose “Install Operating System Later”, and then click “Next”.
- On the “Select Operating System” page, choose “Microsoft Windows” as the operating system, select the version of Windows you want to install (e.g. Windows 10), and then click “Next”.
- On the “Name Virtual Machine” page, name your virtual machine, select the storage location for the virtual machine, then click “Next”.
- On the “Hardware Configuration” page, adjust the virtual machine’s hardware settings as needed, such as memory and processor. Then click on “Next”.
- On the “Select Disk Type” page, choose “Create New Virtual Disk” and then click “Next”.
- On the “Select Disk” page, choose the disk capacity and disk file location, then click “Next.”
- On the “Ready to Complete” page, review the virtual machine configuration you have selected, and then click “Finish” to create the virtual machine.
- In the virtual machine list, select the virtual machine you have just created and click on “Start this Virtual Machine”.
- Install Windows 10:
a. In the virtual machine, select the option “Install Operating System” and choose “CD/DVD image file (iso)”.
b. Browse and select the ISO file for Windows 10.
c. Follow the instructions from the Windows 10 installation wizard to complete the installation process. - After installation, your Windows 10 system will run on the VMware virtual machine.
Please note that you will need a valid Windows 10 installation disc image (ISO) or disc to complete the installation process.
